Hey, I'm Becci
I specialise in Social Media Marketing and Content Strategy for amazing women owned businesses. My work helps them to simplify their content, show up and be heard on social media so that they can grow their business on social media without feeling overwhelmed!
If you’d like to know a bit more about who I am, what I do and why I do it, keep scrolling and get to know me and what lights me up!
Where you’re coming from
I’m a proud Southerner born and bred, but I now live up North thanks to my love of a certain football team.
I’m a busy Mum, to a primary school aged boy and girl, and a Step Mum (although I don’t ever call myself that!) to a teenager.
Just like you, I live and breathe my small business, so I truly understand all the work and emotion involved in making it a success. I know just how many balls need to be juggled to ensure your business runs smoothly, and I get just how overwhelming it can all be sometimes.
I have worked hard to overcome the mindset issues and imposter syndrome that can hold you back and the guilt that runs hand in hand with running a small business and raising a family at the same time.
That’s why I love supporting women owned businesses like yours to be more visible and confident on social media, in a natural and non-sleazy way, so that you can grow your business and achieve your dreams, whilst sustaining a good work-life balance and looking after your mental health.
I’m passionate about making a positive difference in the world and in other people’s lives, and as part of that every year I donate a percentage of my profits to chosen charities that are doing good in the world.
Family, freedom, kindness, fun, simplicity and feminism are what I live for – these are the values that are rooted in both my personal and professional life; and it’s so important that the people I work with feel the same!
After 13 years working in the Higher Education sector, specialising in advocacy, campaigning and engagement, I left my job as a Head of Department in a small charity in April 2019, to become a stay at home Mum.
6 months later, ahead of my youngest starting pre-school, I set up Be Heard Socials, offering social media management and support to women owned businesses.
I bring a wealth of skills with me, including over 17 years experience in customer engagement and campaign delivery, plus 12 years experience in management and strategic planning.
I now utilise these skills to benefit my clients. My services enable them to focus on their core business and use their time in the most productive and cost effective way.
Who I love to work with
I love working with women owned businesses who are looking to scale up, or who are just at the point where it has all become too much.
The work I do for them isn’t just about giving them strategic direction to their social media that brings results – I also get genuine joy from empowering women and helping them succeed, and giving Mums back the precious time for themselves and their families too.
My children have immeasurably changed my life for the better! Being their Mum has taught me strengths I didn’t know I had and shown me fears I never knew existed.
Every decision I make has them at the heart of it.
From leaving a career I had worked hard to be well established in, to setting up a business that allowed me to be flexible around spending as much time with them as I could.
But none of that has been easy.
I know first hand how hard being a working Mum in the modern world is, and how heavy the pressures and demands can be.
That’s why I choose to use my skills and experience to relieve small business owners like you, of the overwhelming pressure that can come with managing your socials; and give you strategic direction to your social media, that brings results.
“The world needs strong women. Women who will lift and build others, who will love and be loved. Women who live bravely, both tender and fierce. Women of indomitable will.”
My Personal Mission Statement
I will live an authentic, present and free life, where I am kind to myself and others, where I’m happy more than I’m sad, and where I belly laugh often.
I will be endlessly ambitious, but never at the expense of losing sight of what’s most important. I will learn new things each day, and never see growth as a means to an end.
I’ll surround myself with people who challenge me, make me laugh, celebrate my success, empower me to be better and who make me happy.
I will be a woman who makes a positive difference on the world, and in other peoples lives. I will raise other women up, and show them that the life they want is possible, that prioritising self care is essential, and that success is subjective.
I will raise children who love themselves as fiercely as I love them, so that they never settle for anything less than they deserve; who talk about me and their childhood, how I talk about my Mum and mine, and who will treat and defend others how they would want others to do for them.
And most importantly, I will give no f*cks, but all of the damns!
Don’t go without
